stillnessBy Donald James Parker

Book 4 of the Masterson Family Series – Jeremy has studied the theory of evolution and its inherent weaknesses. His conclusion is that the world itself is a testimony to the existence of a creator. He decides to throw himself into studying religion to find out if he can determine who that creator might be and what such a powerful entity desires of him. His motivation is strong due to his love for Maria, who introduced him to Christianity, but Jeremy won’t sacrifice truth even for the love of his life. He must find satisfactory answers to all of his inquiries, in order to pave the way to a mutually dedicated relationship based on common ideals.

My Review

Having read and immensely enjoyed a previous Donald James Parker, I was very excited to get my hands on All the Stillness of the Wind, the 4th in the series.  All the Voices of the Wind starts off this impressive series by tackling a topic that’s been on a lot of Christian’s minds…. Intelligent Design. “Voices” was an impressive enough book that it made my favorite books of 2007 (out of 200).

All the Stillness of the Wind leaves no lag in the story either!

He continues the story of the Masterson’s and the Dillons right where he left off in Voices. I feel as if it hasn’t been nearly a year and 1/2 since I last read about these families. It’s not required to have read any of the other books in the series.(though i highly recommend that you do!) The author makes it very easy for new readers to settle into the storyline.

Because of the content, a good majority of the book reads as non-fiction. Don Parker has quick wit and corny jokes which makes it light-hearted at the same time. He includes a plethora of resources and websites that I’ll be checking out very soon. This book is perfect for a person seeking  for the truth, particularly a young person, though Mr. Parker has appealed to all generations with this book!

My one very small and insignificant problem with this book…. It’s shorter than the first one I read, I want more! Which I guess is why he’s writing a entire series on these families! I’ll certainly be reading the entire series.
