The Expanded Bible: New Testament review.

Thomas Nelson has created a bible to make studying the Bible as easy as reading it. The notes and additional translations of the words are right in the text. I like how it is written!  They didn’t waste time on flowery language but got straight to the point.

It’s a refreshing study bible in light of the sudden influx of overly decorated study Bibles. Because of that it is  basic.  Some people might be disappointed that this book does’t come with the stardard “Bible paper”. You know the thin, thin pages? Particularly since this Bible retails for $30.

Thomas Nelson chose to use white paper(like what you would typically find in a paperback) rather than the thin pages. But this will be a bonus to me and others who like to mark up the pages, the ink will not bleed through the pages. I know I will be more likely to write in the margins and highlight with this type of paper.  The font makes it very easy to read and distinguish what part of the text is scripture and which is the notes or additional words.

If you’re  looking for a no nonsense study bible that can be marked in with no worries try this one!
